6 hours Continuing Education Units (CEU)

CCTM is soliciting presentations for the annual (ME) 2 by the Sea Conference to be held Friday, 13 June 2008, on the campus of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. We are seeking presentations that cover mathematics TEKS at all grade levels, address mathematical engagement for all students, and include materials and topics that have been successfully used in a classroom. Presenters save $20 off the registration fee for the conference, only paying $5.

(ME)² by the Sea Call for Proposals
You are invited to submit a proposal for a presentation at ME2 by the Sea. We are seeking proposals that
 
  • Cover any grade level: Primary, Elementary, Middle School, High School , First Year College, Technology (in computer lab) or "All Level" topics
  • Cover any MATHEMATICS TEKS topic from the grade level
  • Address mathematical engagement for all students
  • Include materials and topics that have been successfully used in a classroom

  • Short description of your presentation for the program
  • Explanation of your presentation, including objectives, intended audience, and the grade level and TEKS covered (up to 250 words)
  • Indicate whether you need a classroom (1 hour) or computer lab (1.5 hours)
  • A list of handouts to be distributed in the presentation
  • A list of materials and their cost required to implement the curriculum or activity in a K-12 classroom
